Drink now through to 2024. Serve chilled. This seductive rosé from the Cotes du Rhone appellation is crafted from Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, and Mourvedre grapes which are carefully harvested by hand. Vinification in stainless steel tanks helps to showcase the bright red fruit character of the varieties along with a vibrant freshness and well-structured medium body which makes this an excellent gastronomic wine. The Mordoree estate is named after the humble woodcock bird which used to be found all over the southern Rhone Valley, but today is sadly considered an endangered species. The domaine was founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe and is today run by Christophe’s wife and daughter along with other family members. As a family that respects the natural environment, the Delormes seek to farm their land in a way that is kind towards Mother Nature. Their vines are all farmed organically and the family also uses biodynamic practices in both the vineyard and in the winery. As well as striving to make the best possible wines from their well-situated vineyards, the Delorme family has an eye on the long term and strives to hand over the estate to the next generation in the best possible condition.
